San Francisco situated on the West Coast of the United Steates in the state of California and is placed on a peninsula of the same name. Due to its area the city has an almost Mediterranean climate, meaning that it is very wet all year, but from it’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean it is relatively cold for the latitude. The city has many sites worth visiting, most of which are favorably to get to by rented car. Popular museums include the Museum of Modern Art, the former prison island of Alcatraz and the Exploratorium.Also, of course, worth to explore the Golden Gate Bridge, the winding Lombard Street and Mission Dolores, the oldest construction in San Francisco. Thanks to the good freeway link and with a bit of time it’s comfortable to take a travel by rented car to Los Angeles, Las Vegas or Seattle.
